Following the digital release of their EP, 'Jelly Tip Lips', Two Cartoons are heading out on a nation-wide tour.
Two Cartoons are two guys making friends through the medium of music with an aim of putting smiles on faces and bringing cool dance moves back to the dance floor.
Jelly Tip Lips is the sound of innocent curiosity expressed through two guys clinging to their youth and simpler times. Created with an overarching need for uncomplicated fun, this EP brings together the raw talent of Two Cartoons and presents it in dynamically polished package locally mixed by William Powell and mastered by the genius of Dale Cotton (HDU, Dimmer, Sola Rosa).
The five tracks on Jelly Tip Lips highlight the duo’s musical growth and depth and showcases increased production values from their debut release of mid 2011. Melodically driven and reverb-heavy, the sound of Two Cartoons is youthfully free in its simple yet sonically striking guitar and drum tracks. The end result illustrates a melange of Beach Boys and Beatles-era harmonies sufficed with tinges of contemporary acts such as Wavves and Best Coast.
