Shihad Announce Second Auckland Headline Date - Loud Forever The Final Tour
Demand for Shihad's The Final Tour: Loud Forever has been so red hot the iconic Aotearoa heavy rockers have completely sold out their upcoming Auckland Spark Arena event — reportedly "the most tickets ever sold to a New Zealand headlined hard rock concert". Fans slow off the mark and / or rabid for more don't need to tear their hair out in panic though, as Jon Toogood, Karl Kippenberger, Phil Knight and Tom Larkin have announced a second, more intimate send-off show at The Powerstation on Wednesday 12th March, site of many ear-blasting Shihad gigs over the years.
Notably the setlist will be different for the new Powerstation show, featuring the entirety of "Killjoy (1995) and The General Electric (1999) played back-to-back". Read Toogood's career-spanning conversation with Nathan Hickey (Beastwars) HERE and don't blow your last chance to experience these titans live in their element, next week in the City of Sails and at Wellington's Homegrown festival...
"After performing at the Powerstation countless times over the past 37 years, including our very first Auckland show in 1989, it feels only right to tread the boards one last time and say goodbye to a place that’s always felt like home to us, and say thank you to all who have supported us for so long".
