Spotlight: Öof Tatatá feat. Jason Momoa - Aotearoa Shows

Chris Cudby / Friday 18th October, 2024 11:15AM

Öof Tatatá are the amp-blasting power-trio of Hawaiian superstar Jason Momoa (Aquaman, Game Of Thrones) on bass and friends Mike Hayes (singer / guitarist) and Kenny Dale (drums), who'll be tearing up local stages next week in Auckland, Rotorua, and the Coromandel Peninsula's legendary Coroglen Taven. A longtime devotee of the dark art of metal guitar shreddage, Momoa and band's first live outing was in fact in Aotearoa earlier this year playing a wrap party for the Minecraft movie (out in 2025), where Öof Tatatá busted out classics by Metallica and Black Sabbath — joined for the occasion by Jack Black and Rita Ora — while later shows have seen them unleash anthems by Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Nicks, and The Stooges. Now back on our shores, don't miss Öof Tatatá letting rip a selection of personal punk / heavy rock favourites "plus a few unlikely surprises," with special guest DJ Tito Tafa at the following dates...
