Sean Cunningham & Rodney Fisher – Presented by The Stables Collective

Join us for a nostalgic summer evening as The Stables Collective proudly presents two of New Zealand's most iconic voices: Sean Cunningham, former lead singer of Atlas, and Rodney Fisher, former frontman of Goodshirt.

About the Artists:

Sean Cunningham gained prominence as the lead vocalist of Atlas, whose hit single Crawl set a record for the longest-running Number 1 in New Zealand. Now based in Nashville, Sean has recently released his introspective debut solo album, Whatever That Is, blending indie-rock with modern pop. This stirring new indie-rock, coming-of-age anthem incorporates tender finger-picked guitars, raw vocals, and epic instrumentation – which includes cinematic strings.

Rodney Fisher is best known as the singer of alt-pop rock band Goodshirt, who had a string of hit songs in the early 2000s, such as Sophie and Fiji Baby. Rodney’s dedication to music has remained steadfast; his solo career began in 2005 with the Songs From The Backyard album, recorded in New Zealand before touring with Zane Lowe’s band Breaks Co-Op in NZ and the UK.

Fast forward to 2023, Rodney’s latest project has seen him collaborating with Christchurch music producers The Response, describing the process as bringing “a new sonic palette and an honesty to the songs themselves.”
