Robots in Love (Dunedin) and Brother Sister will be performing their lazer infused synth electro and cyber rock live at Big Fan!
Robots In Love:
Powerhouse industrial cyber rock from Ōtepoti Dunedin.
Robots in Love smash the wall between rock and electronic music and the result is epic, with songs that can go from 0 to 100 in intensity within seconds.
This is a very tight-knit unit with Elenor Rayner on vocals/production, Alex Burchell on drums/producion and Tony Lumsden on bass.
They've been playing shows around Aotearoa and Australia and have a new single being released on 17 January.
...the band might just invent a new form of expression—headbang dancing. If such a concept didn’t exist before, this group from New Zealand ensures it becomes a movement. - Prog Sphere.
Brother Sister:
Electro-pop whiz kids Brother Sister channel their passion for the sound and style of throw back 80s culture into their uplifting blend of electro driven synth pop.
A band of siblings, Brother Sister are an energetic trio that have shared a womb and now share the stage - featuring Dave Thomson (synth & lead vocals), Taz Thomson (bass and lead vocals)
and Ben Thomson (drums).
Their sound unapologetically references the rich, nostalgic sounds of 80s cartoons and cinema, but with plenty of surprising flourishes to keep it fresh. Pulsing keyboards, programmed drums, driving bass and dueling melodic hooks are expertly blended to take listeners back to the future. Their live performances are fun, punchy and irresistibly danceable.
