Reminiscent of the spirit and sounds of Black Flag,
The Pixies, the Wipers, Wire, and Bailterspace, Die! Die! Die! deliver an unfiltered and powerful stage show.
Their relentless tour schedule and onstage antics have earned them a reputation as one of
the most energetic and hardest working bands around. The trio embodies a vitality that has
long since made its way into the recent rock and punk circuits. They aren’t a rehearsed
set of messages or stage antics, no glitter, no make-up, no phony sass.
Having spent the better part of the past four years on the road, this last year has seen
Hurricane Die sweeping through the music press, picking up a bevy of accolades including
a spot in Q Magazine’s Top 50 songs of 2008 for ‘Sideways Here We Come’ and a four-page
feature and “recommended” album review in Artrocker. Latest album Promises Promises
received a 4/5 album review in the Guardian (with Jude Rogers heralding that “other post-punk apostles should come gather at this alter, and prepare to kick the bucket”), and an 8/10 from
NME’s Camilla Pia, who reported that their “relentless, unsettling sound is every bit as
thrilling as their heavily punctuated name suggests”.
Town by town, show by show, punters are critics alike are becoming hipped to the
fact that Die! Die! Die! are a force to be reckoned with. Cathartic, direct, indispensable.
