It's been two years since the Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra put out a recording. Earlier this year they locked themselves in Steve's lounge and the result is a new collection of songs bearing all the hallmarks of a Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra EP: fast songs and slow songs, local songs and overseas songs, love songs and not so lovely songs, songs to make cups of tea to and songs to make cocktails to.
We already know that Boogeyman, written by The Bats' Robert Scott, is one of the songs. The others continue to remain a mystery. What a tease!
Come and hear all of the songs on the new EP, plus old favourites, at a rollicking release show at the San Francisco Bathhouse in October.
