Headless Horseman are proud to present, for the first time in New Zealand, the original Japanese Black Metal Godz, SABBAT!

The history of Sabbat is entirely unique within the underground metal scene. Formed in 1983, no other band rivals Sabbat in terms of longevity, consistency, and dedication. And as a result, Sabbat are among those few bands that can be credited with ushering in the first wave of Black Metal. Influenced by the more sinister strains of underground heavy metal, Sabbat endeavours to push metal to its logical extreme and for the last 30 years, Sabbat has remained the most prolific and authentic Black Metal band in the world.

Joining Sabbat as main support on both shows is BULLETBELT. Approaching a decade of activity, they have played countless shows across NZ and Australia, including with Midnight, Toxic Holocaust, Sepultura, Napalm Death, Carcass and many more international metal icons. They’ve released two acclaimed full-length albums, a number of videos, and provided the rip-roaring title track to the much-celebrated heavy metal horror film Deathgasm. Their soon to be released new album Nine Centuries continues BULLETBELT’s unstoppable momentum and further showcases the band’s rampant enthusiasm for metal’s aesthetic strengths.
