Femacoustica Music announces the first Femacoustica Lounge Series event official lineup!

The kickoff event brings a unique and unprecedented all-female line-up of iconic Headline and Emerging talent to the Mainland in a listening room environment. FEMACOUSTICA (a radio show on Plains FM, record label and events management company) along with major sponsorship partner, FREEDOM SHOUT Events, will host the evening with ALL ticket sales going towards two Christchurch community organisations, ‘SmileDial’ and 'Dwell'.

VICKI PETERSON (THE BANGLES)-
Vicki Peterson is the founding member of the international act, 'The Bangles'. She is renowned as the lead guitarist of the band and a primary singer-songwriter of their music catalogue. She has toured the world with 'The Bangles' since the early 1980's but never performed on the Mainland. 'The Bangles' have #1 songs throughout the world and have charted hit songs in New Zealand. Vicki has performed with several other bands throughout the years, including the U.S. based,'Continental Drifters' and is recording new music for her duo, 'The Psycho Sisters'. She also performs as a solo artist. Among her large catalogue of music, she has written/co-written such iconic tunes as, 'Hero Takes A Fall', 'Something That You Said', 'James' and 'The Rain Song'. Vicki supports young female musicians through her endorsement of Daisy Rock Guitars and designed a signature electric guitar for the company with the intention of getting girls interested in picking up a guitar and discovering their musical abilities at a young age.
KAYE WOODWARD w/MINISNAP -
Kaye Woodward (The Bats and Minisnap) performs with her band, 'Minisnap'. Kaye is the lead guitarist and vocalist and songwriter for this iconic Christchurch band with international acclaim. Expect to hear special acoustic performances off their soon to be released album, as well as old favourites.
AMY HEF (CANADA) -
Canadian singer-songwriter, Amy Hef, performs on the night, acoustically with her full band. She is the winner of the 2012 Canadian Amp Rockstar contest and has just released her first Canada-wide single off her forthcoming Cd.
MEL PARSON (NZ) -
Mel Parsons, recently back from a 2013 tour of Australia and Europe and two-time Tui nominated artist for 'NZ Folk Album of the Year' as well as a current cast member of 'Fly My Pretties', performing solo to open this event.
ALL concert proceeds of the event will be going to two Christchurch charities - 'SmileDial' and 'Dwell'.
