After an ancestral pilgrimage through the rolling hills and rugged coastline of south-west Ireland, Guideropes attained a new reverence quality that he managed to capture in his latest body of work ‘Valentia’. Named after the mystical island that was home to the greatest myths in druidic Ireland.

This inspiration rears its head throughout the EP in the form of vivid storytelling, incorporating airy field recordings, and some more tongue-and-cheek elements - including the ‘Father Ted’ intro theme lacing through the foreboding track 'NOTF' (name of the father).

'Valentia' is an entanglement of the digital and analogue; the clean and the gritty. While it is indeed electronic music - pulling elements from techno, breaks, bass, and IDM, it remains grounded with earthly sounds from shoegaze, dub, and acid. The show reflects this with drum breaks played live, while being manipulated by digital effects.

The EP release show is set for the 3rd of May, at Acho's new backbar, A SPACE.

Guideropes soon ventures off to Portugal so this will be your last chance to witness this live dynamic version for quite some time.
