Shining like a star, Hannah Simpson’s stunning emotive vocals have been likened to Kate Bush and Joan Baez as she sings of loss and melancholy to summery joy in a range of classic jazz, blues and pop songs that will thrill and move you. Hannah was very musically active and celebrated for her accomplished and distinctive vocals in a range of bands and projects including Cherry's Gemstones and Avalanches. She has an EP called EP 'Love in the dream-scape matrix reality.' After 2017 a darker period of time ensued during which she struggled with mental health issues, adrift and feeling “displaced from it all” and sadly, stopped performing. At long last the clouds have parted and a desire to perform has become a passion once again. Hannah is ready shine as she was born to do and relaunch her gift of music.
Hannah will supported by the Wellington underground legend Vorn Colgun. Here’s a rare chance to catch Vorn undiluted with his accordion. Known for foot-stomping (and often head-scratching) performances with the likes of The Wellington Sea Shanty Society, Crash Bandihoot, and Gold Medal Famous.
