THE WEATHER MACHINE: SINGLE RELEASE SHOW

Originally from Oregon, now hailing from Pōneke featuring a fully NZ lineup of the band, The Weather Machine is back after a stint in the studio recording a new record. Expect to hear some fresh songs off that.

Think one part soulful longing, two parts indie rock abandon, with a touch of eccentric lyrical banter and you’ll start to get an idea of what you’re in for. Come get cozy and put your party hat on.

TOBY SUSSEX

Toby Sussex is an indie folk-pop singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. When performing live, Toby’s heartfelt, melodic vocals fuel a carefully crafted acoustic and live-looped signature sound.

Toby's EP Weather Dependent was released on 24th May and features four unique and thoroughly road-tested songs - home-grown, folk-fuelled, and ready for your ears.

Sax, Drums, and Helicon snuggling into the hypercoloured space between jazz and electronic dance music.

THE TEMPLE

Pōneke-based ambient / alternative band The Temple is a musical anomaly. Stillness becomes propulsive. The arcane is rendered ordinary. Performances become ceremonial, and orthodoxy becomes performative. Electronics, drums, bass sax.

ABOUT THE VENUE:

Vogelmorn Upstairs is not a wheelchair accessible building. There is an accessible
bathroom in the space. This is an all ages venue but those under the age of 16 must be
accompanied by a designated adult after 8pm. The Vogelmorn Precinct is a community
space located in a residential area. With that in mind, the team ask that you be kind to
others' and that when you leave the gig, you do so quietly to avoid disturbing our
neighbours.
