Mantle Septet

The Mantle Septet combines two small groups, a Jazz Guitar Trio and a String Quartet.

The goal is to keep the spontaneity and energy of a small jazz combo but add the beauty of a string quartet. The two combos at times are working together but at other times they work to contrast each other.

Inspired by the music of Julian Lage, Reuben Bradly’s Mantis, The Troubles, Mark Lockett’s Swings and Roundabouts and many Classic Jazz and Chamber music recordings.

The Mantle Septet has influences from many different musics and have ended up with a brand new unique sound.
