Incoming! The ongoing irregular night of irie music to beat down the walls of Babylon.
This celebration of sound system music in the Jamaican tradition also celebrates the UK connection to that music. Expect danceable tunes of all flavours: roots, reggae, dancehall, dub, dubstep, 140 and jungle.
This time around Buna and Adwok round out our usual line up.
Adwok brings freshness direct from the UK. He’s an old hand, DJing in London and Aotearoa, hitting the airwaves on a monthly show (tulipFM) on radio alhara in Palestine. His shows are archived on mixcloud. We’re delighted to have him and excited to hear him in session.
Buna rounds out the line-up. A local taitama and hot to trot out his diverse tunes, his infectious enthusiasm has no bounds.
Dirty Red has many musical feathers in his filthy cap and has been playing and promoting events in Poneke for many years now. He likes to play deep tunes from jungle to roots dubstep, grime, techno and old skool dancehall.
James Faction brings decades of experience and passion for sound system music from a regular slot on Homebass, radioactive.fm to the dancefloor at Moon.
Shaw Shot’s reggae affair began when living in Brixton in the 80s. The early 2000s saw her sharing her Jamaican roots vinyl collection by DJing around Poneke and bringing you the dance.
Double the bass! Yes - Mayhem Sound brings it with reinforced sound for your personal pleasure.
See you on the D floor!
