Bahamian born—Tamaki bred muso Elisa is a wonderful and well rounded artist. As a UoA Jazz school graduate Elisa began her career in the local jazz scene performing with the likes of AMA nominated collective Alchemy and Nathan Haines. Elisa has utilised her technical abilities gained within her degree to develop her dynamic and alternative sonic pallet. She presents her audience with stories of separation, humanity’s recklessness, the highs and lows in love as well as all the joys this fickle life can bring. Her first release ‘Despondent’ is a soaring rock anthem that journeys through the trails and frustrations of flatmates and friend- ships. With her versatile and genre bending motifs, Elisa puts out a sound that is fresh, making her a note worthy and exciting artist.
