Advent Tales With Derek Lind, Raylee Bradfield and Tash Kestle

Local artists, Derek Lind, Raylee Bradfield and Tash Kestle have come together to share a musical offering to usher in the season of Advent. From their own repertoires, Lind, Bradfield and Kestle bring songs that speak of waitings, arrivals and new beginnings.

The evening will showcase songs from Lind's extensive catalogue spanning 40+ years of writing, recording, and performing. Bradfield and Kestle will be including songs from their new projects (Raylee Bradfield Live at Lopdell House Theatre and Inner Room) with additional works that speak to the season of Advent.

About Derek Lind:
Derek Lind has been writing songs and performing for audiences for a long time. Following his earliest performances in the late 1970’s he has gone on to write and record seven albums including his latest released, SOLO (late 2015). He currently resides in the bush-clad, isolated hills of Titirangi, West-Auckland, New Zealand. Derek Lind has twice won prestigious NZ Music Awards and has been a nominee for an APRA Silver Scroll.

About Raylee Bradfield:
It has been a prolific songwriting season for Bradfield with three projects of original songs in the past five years (Where Wildflowers Grow (Gold Guitars songwriting nomination for Give me the Answer 2019), The Light Catchers EP..). The latest project is a Live album including 10 new songs, performed and recorded at Lopdell House Theatre, Titirangi earlier this year. One of Bradfield's new songs, Tōtara, was performed with Derek Lind accompanying on guitar and vocal harmony, created a moving highlight to the show. Raylee Bradfield Live at Lopdell House Theatre is releasing on 1st December.

About Tash Kestle:
Finding in music a natural way to be with God, Kestle's songs are a journey of worship and connection, inviting all to experience God for themselves. She fell in love with piano in her family home and began teaching herself to play before moving on to lessons through school, sitting exams through the Royal Schools Of Music. Growing up, singing was second nature and she would while away the hours singing and playing the piano. Writing songs was the overflow of that interest. Her musical journey has primarily been expressed within the church and her music carries a fierce purity and peace. Tash Kestle is a passionate worshiper, with strong conviction and is currently writing and releasing music with friends as Inner Room.
