Punk Flag! A Tribute To Wire's Pink Flag Album

Punk Flag! A Tribute To Wire's Pink Flag Album

Tour Information
Condenser:
Condenser are a three piece consisting of Nigel Elder on Vocals and Guitar, James Gilberd (both ex Condemned Sector & Neoteric Tribesman) on Drums and Peter Stitt on Bass and Backing Vocals (ex Cochise & This Silent Divide).

The band are performing a tribute to Wire's highly influential Pink Flag album, playing it in its entirety along with several early punk originals from Condemned Sector and Neoteric Tribesmen. Condenser are keeping the spirit of early, raw, untamed alternative and punk alive in Wellington and they are relishing the opportunity to bring the Pink Flag album to life at Moon.

Ramones on 45:
German actor Jo Stock is currently on his '80 Gigs Around The World Tour' and Moon is one of his stops in Aotearoa. Fun fact: Did you know the world's only Ramones museum is located in Germany? So there's definitely a lot of love for the band there and Jo is spreading that love here and now!

'Ramones on 45' is a rock'n'roll one-man-band that combines songs of the 'Ramones' with elements of disco music from the 1970/80s. To do this all is needed is vocals, beatboxing, a keyboard and an eternally heavy stomping disco beat. Come down to support the world tour and to demand that 'Bonzo Goes to Bitburg' makes the setlist.

Los Punkys:
Los Punkys, are a latin ska punk band singing original songs in Castellano (Spanish) with a fast rhythm and some Californian ska punk sounds. Led by Hernan (guitar, vocals), the band includes Marcel (drums), Balam (guitar) and and Ian (bass, backing vocals).
The history of punk in South America is deep and rich stretching from 60's Peruvian legends Los Saicos to the likes of The Ladrones, Los Kung Fu Monkeys, Matamoska, Maldita Vecindad, Panteón Rococó, Sekta Core, La Resistencia and Los Mal Hablados. We're very lucky to have a band of that calibre here in Wellington with Los Punkys. Earlier this year they helped with a fundraiser for the Chilean wildfires exhibiting a true punk ethos that solidarity with other people is just as important as the music.

This is one of those once in a blue moon events and you'll never see this line-up on the same stage again!
