Tour Information
Mea Culpa and The Blue Sea Above are teaming up again, this time at one of the best music venues in Dunedin, Moons!

Mea Culpa formed in late 2023 around two local singer/songwriters, Emma Wells and Leigham Fitzpatrick. An unlikely match, their vocal styles though incredibly different to each other blend together to create some of the most mesmerising harmonies imaginable. Their unique writing styles ensure there's never a dull moment and they don't always sing about broken hearts, so if you're sick of hearing about the latest breakup on the block then this is the band for you! To back them up they have one of the smoothest fretless bass players in town, Ari van Eerten and their faithful master of the beat, Nashoba Addai.

The Blue Sea Above is a duo that formed through a chance encounter at the Waimate Festival, comprising of Tom Bolton and Dean Hollebon

Dean has been a member of the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra for 40-plus years. He is the conductor of the Dunedin Collegiate Orchestra based at the University of Otago. He has conducting and teaching roles at Saturday Morning Music Classes plus private teaching. He loves making music and savours every performance. He finds music expressive, transformative and immersive in its many amazing styles and forms. He relishes the opportunity to explore a different and creative side of music with Tom.

Tom has been playing his original music both solo and in various line-ups for more than 20 years, and is now finding his inspiration and new musical home in Dunedin.

“Bolton’s knack for winsome-pretty, winning melodies is a cut above 1000 other guys and gals with an acoustic guitar that want to sing to us about love and its discontents. Instead of wasting our time, he fills it with small, steady wonders”
The Big Takeover

“Tom’s music grabs you before your intellect has a chance to kick in with its jaded analysis, and sends you on a wave of daydreams.”
Music Zeitgeist

And if the music isn't enough to tempt you, Moons is home to some of the best food in town, not to mention an outstanding array of local craft beers.

Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7.45pm
