Spinning Lights - Fight The Longest Night

Spinning Lights return to the Firebird to call back the sun - offering up indie and post-punk original music to combat the darkness. Spinning Lights has been aptly described as a dirty power trio with teddy bears, a fitting metaphor for their music, which oscillates between raucous and dark, as if it's just thrown a tantrum and is now settling into a melancholic slumber. Their songs are largely up-tempo, adorned with groovy hooks and sprinkled with sparse, cynical lyrics that linger in your mind.

Gary Hibbs is a Singer/Musician who has been performing solo and as part of bands, all over the country for over 20 years. On this night Gary is going to go back to where it all started and perform some songs off his first Album Project from Dunedin Punk Ska Band Corporate Tra$h (2003 - 2009) as well as some other originals from his catalog.

To get into the spirit of the longest night, we encourage you all to dress in black!
