Kilat (Aus) / Distant Fear - Aotearoa Tour

Tour Information
Wrought Material is proud to present KILAT, a three piece raw black metal band hailing from Naarm / Melbourne, Australia. The band are touring Aotearoa for the first time in March of 2024.

KILAT, consisting of members of High Tension, Agents of Abhorrence, MY DISCO and Whitehorse, have been performing relentlessly since forming in 2021, including sell out shows in Naarm as well as an immense tour of Indonesia in August of this year.

Their debut album Rantai Penjinak was released by eclectic Naarm label AR53 in 2022 and is an intense, captivating listen, drawing from both classic and contemporary black metal sounds as well as a deep influence from Nusantara and ancient Javanese imagery, script and tradition.

KILAT translates to ‘lightning’ in Bahasa Indonesia and is the perfect descriptor for their confronting, noise-laden live performances, not to be missed by fans of any kind of extreme music.

Joining Kilat on all four dates is Tāmaki Makaurau Death Metal trio DISTANT FEAR, returning from a 2 and a half year live hiatus and finally venturing south to Te Waipounamu for the first time.
