Proteins Of Magic - Cancelled

Proteins of Magic returns to the shores of Aotearoa to perform at Freida Margolis on the 7th of October.

After taking her live show to various festivals, including Splore, Cuba Dupa, The Others Way and Cross St Festival in NZ, Big Ears Festival (Knoxville), Primavera (Barcelona), The Great Escape (UK), BIGSOUND (Brisbane), SXSW (Sydney). Proteins of Magic comes back to play an intimate show in Tāmaki Makaurau, distilling her musical alchemy into two sets, performing new music from her upcoming EP Angel Hieroglyphics.

There isn’t a single genre that describes the musical output of Proteins of Magic, but in broad terms it embodies the realm of Gothic; from the use of voices from elsewhere, layered upon one another, to the drama of art pop melded with eerie post-punk, she blurs the boundaries between innovative alt-folk and contemporary art music.
