Governor Jeff and the Wellington Jazz Festival Presents GUV'NORS NIGHT @ 216 Cuba Dive Bar
GOVERNOR JEFF is the horror themed dream project started by guitarist Jamin Forlong, incorporating elements of horrorcore, psych-rock, jazz, hip-hop and RnB, they aim to blend genres as well as maintaining the free aspect of jazz we all know and love.
Jeff is backed by Jamin Forlong (electric guitar), Rory Johns (keyboard), Ryder Smith (drums), Davin Ojala (bass) and a special appearance by Shenazzar Sta. Lucia (vocals).
CAUGHT INSIDE are a young up and coming band from Te Whanganui-a-Tara. 2022 began with the band teaming up with producer Emily Wheatcroft-Snape on an NZOnAir funded project, releasing later this year. 2021 saw a sold-out tour following the release of their highly anticipated latest single Body Down. Caught Inside are excited to get back into gigging in Pōneke.
DUENDE invites you on a tour through their magical groove-laden universe. Led by baritone saxophonist, Elisa Bird, this ensemble combines the improvised sounds of free jazz with danceable funk rhythms. Feat. Elisa Bird (baritone saxophone), Mel O’Rourke (piano), Peter Hamilton (bass), Joseph Alexander (drums) and Simon Buxton (percussion).
