Weekly Round-Up: Friday 4th October

Queens of the Stone Age lead the tour news this week for a tour that hasn't actually been announced yet, just hinted at. The slightly adjusted image above was taken from their Facebook page were it was posted on Tuesday with the word 'soon' and quite clearly suggests a double headline tour of Australia and New Zealand with Nine Inch Nails - yowzer! Other tour news of note this week included the lineup announce for A Low Hum's new electronic music festival Square Wave taking place nationwide next month, psychedelic sibling duo Prince Rama were announced to return next week for two dates and folk-noir duo The Tiny Lies announced album release tour dates with Delaney Davidson in November.

In release news, Arcade Fire have left us even more eager to hear their new album Reflektor after releasing a short-film this week that featured three unreleased tracks (and a heap of amazing cameos), NY producer Blood Orange announced the release of new album Cupid Delux via Domino next month, Popstrangers announced the release of a new 7" and shared A-side 'Rats In The Palm Trees', Secretly Canadian announced a 10th anniversary reissue of the late Jason Molina's excellent Songs: Ohia album Magnolia Electric Co and there are a bunch of noteworthy releases streaming out there this week including Parquet Courts new EP Tally All The Things That You Broke out next week, Four Tet's new album Beautiful Rewind out in the next week or so, Glasser's new album Interiors out today in New Zealand and Sleigh Bells third record Bitter Rivals also out today along with local releases from All Seeing Hand, Hospital Sports, $norgazzzm and Lontalius.
