Well known and much loved as the visionary mastermind behind videos for Aldous Harding, Marlon Williams, Nadia Reid, The Bats and more, Martin Sagadin has announced their debut solo record — or rather pre-announced — making waves with an album announcement show happening at Ōtautahi's Space Academy on 23rd May.

Produced by Brooke Singer and featuring instrumental contributions from fellow luminaries Ben Lemi (Trinity Roots), Xanthe Rook (Recitals), Liz Stokes (The Beths) and Charlotte Forrester (Womb), Martin iz Zgornje Bele is an intimate and elegant intertwining of Sagadin's Slovenian roots and Aotearoa folk songwriting, named after "the village Martin grew up in."
