Luger Boa Announce Mutate! Mutate! 2025! Tour
Following an outburst of activity both in Aotearoa and abroad earlier this year, The D4 singer / guitarist Jimmy Christmas is keeping his pedal on the metal with the imminent return of his hi-octane glam-punk-rock project Luger Boa. Fronted by the sunglasses-wearing Christmas, alongside Simon Nichols (HLAH / City Newton Bombers), Joe Mac (Demons of Noon) and new recruit Jake Harding (Ratso / The D4), Luger Boa will be frying amps onstage in Tāmaki Makaurau, Kirikiriroa and Taupō this May, a fitting finale to NZ Music Month / Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa.
Envisioned as akin to "a James Bond villain or a sci-fi hitman," Luger Boa made their name with two long players — Mutate Or Die! (2008) and New Hot Nights (2011) — they supported Meatloaf in 2011, and took away Best Local Rock Song at the 2009 Rock Awards. Raise a glass to the rowdy return of Luger Boa at the following dates...

Press release:
Blending twisted glam, punk, soul, and rocknroll into a chaotic cocktail that’s as stylish as it is savage, their shows are notorious for high-voltage energy, unpredictability, and what one reviewer dubbed “like being dipped in mustard and interrogated by the Devil.” Channeling The Stooges, Bowie, T-Rex, Buzzcocks and Thin Lizzy, Luger Boa serve up swagger, sleaze, and sonic punch in an equal unhinged measure. Catch em LIVE AND LOUD this May.
