JUNK 2025 Festival Announced ft. Vera Ellen, Twine (Aus), Office Dog, Ringlets, Empty Threats (Aus), HŌHĀ, Salt Water Criminals + More

The inaugural JUNK festival was a lovingly curated popular success in '24 and all signs point towards this year's sequel being even more of a doozy. The Junk Mail crew have this morning revealed an absolute ripper bill for JUNK 2025, inviting stars of Australasia's alt-rock underground (both rising and firmly established) to strut their stuff at Tāmaki Makaurau's Double Whammy, Whammy and Public Bar on 7th June.

The triple-venue rager's lineup includes Taite Music Prize winner and recent Crowded House tourmate Vera Ellen, special guests from across the Tasman, Twine and The Empty Threats — both of whom impressed at Camp A Low Hum last year — globe-trotting avant-rockers Office Dog, Flying Nun post-punks Ringlets (whose new album will be out on 27th June), Ōtepoti noise rockers HŌHĀ, the indie-rock catchiness of Pearly*, post-punk-pop super team Salt Water Criminals (launching their new album on 2nd May), plus a whole bunch more. JUNK's first incarnation totally sold out last winter, better move fast if you'd like to catch Aotearoa's new generation of amp-frying spin age blasters converging at St Kevin's Arcade, with hand-picked overseas guests...
