Listen to Old Mervs' Self-Titled Debut Album - Touring NZ in May
Straight out of the farm sheds of Kojonup (a small town south-east of Perth) and onto our airwaves, it's been a seven year journey to Old Mervs' self-titled debut album, now out in the world ahead of their triple date tour of Aotearoa this coming May. Big hearted anthems are abundant on Henry Carrington-Jones and David House's inaugural studio record, with a few tender balladic moments sprinkled through, adding more colour to the surf-loving pair's guitar / drums palette with vibrant strings and synth — remarked upon during their album debrief interview with Happy Mag. Expressing an assured variety of rock-pop styles from such a minimal setup, lead-up hit singles 'What You've Lost', 'Forget It', 'Parched', 'See You Again' and 'Everyone Will See It' are all present, plus they've unleashed whirlwind tour visuals for sunny new standout 'Don't Go'.
Best New Artist nominees for the 2024 Rolling Stone Awards, all signs point towards 2025 being Old Mervs' year. Tuck in and sing along with the duo at the following dates...
"Hey everyone!
Our debut album is finally out — we're so stoked you all get to listen to it in full, we hope you like it.
The album features our new single 'Don't Go'. This was the last song we wrote for the album. It's upbeat and fun and we can't wait to play it live for ya!" — Henry & Dave
