Listen To NOXO's New Self-Titled EP
Sending the entirety of planet Earth into lockdown with their debut Lizard EP (launched in late 2019), we've recently witnessed an upsurge in activity from Tāmaki Makaurau's NOXO. Lovingly touted by Hairy Palm as "ignorant, stomping hardcore punk dragged through a haze of psychedelic misery", what we experience when listening to their new self-titled EP is no less than a triumph in Aotearoa aural barbarity. Six tracks of ultra-heavy, synth-zapping no-fi riff damage and misanthropic growls, "recorded in a sweat lodge 3 August 2024", including an uplifting rendition of 'If I Can't Have What I Want, I Don't Want Anything' by LA mutant-punk pioneers The Screamers. Do your duty and get up front when NOXO open for Naarm / Melbourne death metal trio Faceless Burial at Kirikiriroa's Last Place this Saturday...
