Discovery - Daft Punk Tribute - Auckland & Wellington Shows Announced

First created as a soundtrack for Leiji Matsumoto's anime masterwork Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem, then given a major bump in popularity thanks to LCD Soundsystem and (in retrospect more dubiously) Kanye West, Discovery is not only the title to Daft Punk's hands down classic 2001 album, but also the name of Australia’s masked robot rockin' tribute group. Formed in 2012 and fully kitted out in custom-made retrofuturistic attire, DJs Damian Andres and Matt Campbell are toasting the 25th anniversary of the French electronic duo's landmark club smash 'One More Time', treating Aotearoa partygoers to headline sets at Wellington's Meow Nui and Auckland's Double Whammy this May. Look forward to wide-ranging sets, encompassing "Daft Punk’s ever-changing image in eras from Human After All, TRON, Random Access Memories and the new collaboration with The Weeknd" — boogie down at the following dates...
