The project of Priya Sami with friends, BUB unwraps a Valentine's Day gift-pack of grungy new wave hooks and turbulent emotions on hyper-catchy new single 'Phase 2'. Laid down with Daniel Barrett on bass and Alex Freer (A.C. Freazy) on drums / synths, BUB's boppy, brutally frank tune launches with an accompanying video actually filmed a few years ago, co-directed by Sami and Ruby Walsh (also Director of Photography), and edited by Chelsea Nikkel (Princess Chelsea).

Sami roams about Tāmaki Makaurau's hazy inner city streets, defiantly facing down painful feelings with a tonne of upbeat energy, plus maybe a barf in the bushes along Ian Mckinnon Drive? "The sky over Auckland was unreal during the Australian bushfires—hazy, apocalyptic, perfect. I told Ruby, “I’ll shout you a feed at Peach Pit if you film me walking home looking like a loser.” They said yes, absolutely smashed it, and we ate and laughed heaps. It was meant to be a one-shot, but two years later, Chelsea Nikkel worked her magic and turned it into something even better. Now it’s finally out, and I’m buzzing.
