"Kaishandao is a talisman of China's Chengdu scene. With sets on Boiler Room and NTS, and coverage by DAZED, Mixmag Asia and Resident Advisor, her infectious energy has culminated into a refreshing sound of her own - born in the moshpit, reared in the club. When she's not performing, Kristen Ng runs Chengdu Community Radio, tours Aotearoa bands under Kiwese Touring and helps run festivals in her home Chengdu.
Bone Chapel is an ambient/drone/noise duo based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara creating textural and loosely narrative compositions through samples and synthesis.
Ludus is the sonic multiverse of Whanganui-based producer Emma Bernard. Sound designer, producer and Tonic co-founder, Ludus will be starting the evening with a downtempo live set.
Capping off the night is Tonic co-founder, DJ and sound engineer Rizzo, jumping in wherever Kaishandao leaves her. You inform the vibe, do you want to dance?"
