Georgia Gets By Announces Softly Tour of Aotearoa New Zealand
Georgia Gets By is the solo project of BROODS co-founder Georgia Nott, whose latest EP Split Lip made a significant splash on local airwaves and beyond when it launched in September — entrancing listeners with soaring shoegaze / alt-country and Badalamenti-esque, time-warping dream-pop swoon. Nott will be treating fans to a four date Georgia Gets By - Softly Tour next month, joined by bandmate Phoebe Johnson (driving force behind Revulva and member of Dateline) for headline shows in Tāmaki Makaurau, Pōneke, Whakatū / Nelson and Ōtautahi. She's opening up Georgia Gets By's ever-expanding songbook to play selections from Split Lip, 2023's debut Fish Bird Baby Boy EP and soon to be unveiled GGB future classics, here's the official lowdown...
“I’ll be performing songs from Fish Bird Baby Boy, Split Lip, and some new songs that no one has heard yet. GGB Softly is an extra special show since it will just be me and my friend Phoebe Johnson on stage playing reimagined, intimate versions of my music. Plus some special surprises… ? I can't wait to be back home playing for you all”.
