Zuke 'Come Closer' Album Release Show Announced + Listen To Single 'How We Met'
The product of six years of studio sorcery, Te Whanganui-a-Tara electronic producer / synthesist Zuke aka Ed Zuccollo's debut album Come Closer is out in the world on 13th December, the first official release from Loop Recordings Aot(ear)oa’s new sub-label Loop Electronic. Envisaged as “an exploratory journey into the physicality of deep bass, with a taste for the cinematic”, Zuke is putting on a party to celebrate his club-voyaging creation at Tāmaki Makaurau's Neck of the Woods on 7th December, joined for this very special launch event by long-term friends Dylan C and Mia Kober b2b DirdyGerdi.
Unveiled late last week, third single 'How We Met' is an immersive, nearly nine minute excursion into deep zone ambience and pulsing house rhythms — echoing to these ears the free-roaming spirit and pristine sculptural textures of Tangerine Dream and Jon Hopkins. Zuke's transportive track also receives an elegantly percussive rework courtesy of Nourish, the new project of Katie Double and Paige Julia. An artist who has collaborated with such heavy hitters as Dub Pistols, Workforce, Isaac Chambers, Opiuo, Sanoi, Pitch Black, TrinityRoots, L.A.B, Troy Kingi, Drax Project, The Black Seeds, Rhian Sheehan, Kita and Dylan C, you can preorder Zuke's long player HERE. Dip you ears (and eyes) into the aural luminousness of 'How We Met' below, plus earlier singles from the record 'Hyperion' and 'Voyager'...
"This album is a collection of tunes from the last 6 years that I felt went together in terms of a cosmic cinematic feel, density of layers, and journey-like forms". - Zuke
