Listen To Fool's Lagoon's New Single 'Don't Stop The Show'

Writers of “human music for movers and shakers,” Aotearoa indie-pop-rockers Fool’s Lagoon have shared their latest single 'Don’t Stop The Show' and finally break the mould to embark on their first headline tour. "Proudly representing four corners of Te Ika-a-Māui and beyond," Fool’s Lagoon are known for bending funk and reggae into the mix also, creating dance-ready tunes made well for live performance. "My thumb is floating on delete, afraid to wash my sheets. It’s a hobby," frontman Joshua Winthrop sings. The group revisit some youthful nostalgia and themes of anxiety amongst a “situationship”. Following their two excellent EPs Fool Me Twice (2023) and These Fools (2022), the band have stated a new self-produced collection is on the way.

The boys will pinball across the North Island this month for The Fool Send Tour. They’ve opened for acts like The Vanns and Racing, and illuminated the TSB Festival of Lights NYE 2023 stage. Tomorrow night, they have a free show at Palace Tavern in Tauranga before hitting up The Cabana in Napier on Saturday and the Mothership in Auckland later this month. The title of their new single will likely be chanted by the crowd begging for an encore at their high-energy gigs — get amongst at the dates below…
