Tali Drops New Singles 'Gimme What I Need' & 'C U Never'
Aotearoa drum & bass figurehead Tali treated fans to a new pair of club bangers late last week, launched in sync with the start of her career-spanning Flip The Script 20 Year Anniversary nationwide tour. The Tūī award-winning MC / producer spotlights love on the dancefloor in digital A-side 'Gimme What I Need' — riding pulsing synthetic bass and dubby space echoes, while soulfully imploring "you be, the lock to my key, the light in the dark when I can't see" like an Antipodean Gwen Guthrie. Booming B-side 'C U Never' sees Tali flexing her world-class production skills, feeling laser-targeted to get crowds frantic.
The George FM alum's tour swoops into Nelson and Tākaka next week. Go catch Tali playing selections from her eight album back catalogue with bandmates Cam Sangster (drums), guitarist Harry Charles (also incorporating Abelton Live and pedal board) and special guests at the following dates, plus keep your ears peeled for a new EP out before the end of the year...
