The Smile are the sonically explorative supergroup of Radiohead co-founders Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood with drummer Tom Skinner (Sons Of Kemet). On a prolific tear the trio have unveiled Cutouts, their second album of this year following January's Wall of Eyes (which attracted high praise from Pitchfork and The Needle Drop), delving deeper into avant / post-rock zones with producer Sam Petts-Davies and lush accompaniment by the London Contemporary Orchestra. Conjuring oceanic spaces for listeners to drift within on opener 'Foreign Spies' and the balearic pulses of 'Don't Get Me Started', The Smile express their nimble side with the kosmische minimalist grooves of 'The Slip' and 'No Words', displaying Arto Lindsay-esque no wave / new wave angularity on 'Zero Sum'.

Thom Yorke will soon be visiting Aotearoa for arena headline dates in Tāmaki Makaurau and Ōtautahi. Immerse your ears in his cinematic latest works alongside The Smile, order physical copies of Cutouts HERE and look forward a Weirdcore-directed clip for 'Instant Psalm' going live later today...

'Cutouts' is out today on major streaming platforms via XL Recordings — vinyl LP, compact disc and cassette editions orders HERE.
