Music First Present Darryn Jones (Chicago) - Auckland & Wellington Shows

Aotearoa's Music First crew have cooked up a very special pair of spring parties, hosting trailblazing Chicago DJ / producer Darryn Jones in Tāmaki Makaurau and Pōneke. Making his first forays as a DJ in the early '80s, Jones stepped away from club culture for nearly 20 years, returning as a key influential force in gritty disco-funk / soul / boogie from 2006 onwards. Hailed as "one of the most highly rated Chicago diggers you’ve never heard of," look forward to an immaculate set from Jones, joined by Music First residents Frank Booker and Samuel Harmony — playing a Labour Weekend Sunday spectacular at the regal Hollywood Avondale, to be followed in the capital on 1st November...
