Having already achieved major critical success in Aotearoa, winning the Taite Music Prize for her 2021 album IRIS, and both the Best Country Music Artist and APRA AMCOS NZ Best Country Song accolades in 2018, one might reasonably wonder which creative mountain Reb Fountain will scale next? The Lyttelton songwriter signals more greatness to come with new dream-pop ballad ‘Come Down’, digging in deep with noirish synths and smouldering trip-hop grooves, crooning "I just want to be adored" like a woozy echo of The Stone Roses' infamously ambitious line.

‘Come Down’ is out today with striking cinematic visuals, self-directed by Fountain and made with support from NZ On Air. An audio-visual celebration of platonic love, the clip captures the excitement, sights and carefree sensations of "real life best friends" Lola Fountain-Best and Eve Armstrong-Coop's road trip from rural highways to inner city dance floors. Fountain has announced two shows toasting the launch of 'Come Down', at Te Whanganui-a-Tara's San Fran on 7th November and Tāmaki Makaurau's Hollywood Avondale on 8th November. Hit play on 'Come Down' and don't miss Fountain with bandmates Dave Khan, Karin Canzek and Earl Robertson this spring — tickets are on sale now, presented by Eccles Entertainment, UnderTheRadar, 95bFM, and Radio Active...
