O & The Mo Announce New Album 'Make Way For The Sun' + Share Title Track & Video

Te Whanganui-a-Tara sonic enchanters O & The Mo have reemerged like spring buds, unveiling this morning their first official release since 2020's luminous debut long player In Transit. Liv Gallagher and Alvin Bartley's new single 'Make Way For The Sun' is the title track to their forthcoming sophomore album of the same name, swirling together elements of dream-pop, psych-folk and balearic guitar in a manner that feels half-ballad / half-apparition, like mind-drips melting through fingertips.

A tantalising teaser for the full record out on the first day of summer, 1st December, the accompanying video for 'Make Way For The Sun' encapsulates the song's quasi-mystical / ritualistic energy, filmed within the remote lushness of Tapawera's Hidden Sculpture Garden. Co-directed by the duo and Ezra Simons (who also handled DoP and editing duties), and made with support from NZ On Air, the nikau palm guitar-wielding, stylishly garbed pair bear witness to elemental forces at play in their the gently surreal clip — also featuring sculptural works by David Carson.
