Originally from Queenstown and now based in London, pop songwriter Blake today gifts fans her new I’m Doing Fine! EP. The tight collection of five tracks dissects her personal and artistic journey so far since taking on music at around fifteen years old. "Always been my own worst critic, never gave myself much credit" Blake sings in latest single 'Worst Critic', exploring and challenging her judgemental inner voice — ultimately reframed through self-compassion and celebration. Her accompanying video for ‘Worst Critic’ features close friends and family, who strip away the power of those self-critical thoughts by writing them down on paper.

Blake articulates some of life's ironies through her characteristic humour, deftly captured in the I’m Doing Fine! artwork — of the artist holding melting ice cream while a carefree dog smiles behind her. The memorable chorus of mid-EP bop 'Breakdown Breakthrough' communicates this concept too, rounding out earlier danceable and emotive singles 'Sex Dreams' and 'Red Hearts', and closing with brand new song 'Easier Way'.

Blake returns to Aotearoa for a release party at Tāmaki Makaurau’s Whammy Bar within the next fortnight. It’s not surprising then that she will be joined by fellow self-love enthusiast and local pop sensation Isla Noon.
