Wet Denim Announce 'On The Line' EP Release Tour + Share Single / Video 'The Why'

Making a big splash with 2022's self-titled EP and a ripper run of subsequent singles, it's almost time for Pōneke indie rockers Wet Denim to unveil their sophomore EP On The Line to the world. Co-produced and mixed with Neil MacLeod, Wet Denim's new collection will be out in full on 27th September, to be celebrated with a six date release tour across Aotearoa in October and November — travelling to Tāmaki Makaurau, Ahuriri / Napier, Ōtautahi, Timaru, Ōtepoti and their hometown's San Fran — directly following a trans-Tasman warm-up gig over in Naarm / Melbourne.

Featuring previous singles 'Stuck With You' and 'Again and Again', Wet Denim's forthcoming EP also includes brand new anthem 'The Why'. Enmeshing muscular driving rhythms with sparkling and nimble guitars, with soaring vocals from frontman Nick Goodwin, the song evokes untamed coastal vistas and a neverending quest for inner equilibrium. Filmed by the band and friends, the accompanying video presents a montage of rural summery highlights and live footage of the group busting loose, an ideal primer for fun times to come this spring...

"The EP has probably changed as much as we have over the past two years. As we’ve recorded this project over the past 12 months, the lyrics and arrangements have evolved a lot, sometimes being completely altered from original demos. These changes and development in songwriting reflects more and more where we’ve been as individuals, and as a band. Our collaborative writing process has given this music a deeply personal meaning to each of us in different ways, and it’s a project we’re really proud of".
