2024 Pacific Music Awards Winners Announced

The Pacific Music Awards marked its 20th anniversary with a gala presentation ceremony last night at Due Drop Events Centre in Manukau, honouring twenty years of Pacific music excellence. Big winners at the 2024 PMAs included Aaradhna, recipient of Auckland Council Best Pacific Female Artist, NZ On Air Best Pacific Music Video, APRA Best Pacific Song and co-winner of the NZ On Air Streaming Award (with Savage), metal titans Shepherds Reign won SunPix Best Pacific Language and Recorded Music NZ Te Tino Pukaemi Moana Nui A Kiwa o te Tau | Best Pacific Music Album, and Arch Hill rapper Diggy Dupé took away the NZ Music Commission Best Pacific Male Artist and Matai Best Pacific Hip Hop Artist awards.

Notable accolades also included the legendary Teremoana Rapley receiving the Ministry for Pacific Peoples Lifetime Achievement Award, and Tāmaki Makaurau sonic innovators Noa Records were bestowed the Creative New Zealand Award.
