The Others Way Festival 2024 First Lineup Announced - Dean & Britta Play Galaxie 500, A. Savage, Andy Shauf, Ladyhawke + More

Chris Cudby / Friday 30th August, 2024 8:00AM

Unsuspecting music lovers are zapped out of bed with an overload of thrill power this Friday morning, as the first official lineup for The Others Way Festival 2024 has been revealed to all — a cavalcade of international and local superstars making their way to Tāmaki Makaurau's multi-venue event on Saturday 30th November. Special guests from overseas include Dean & Britta aka Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips (both also of Luna) playing selections from Wareham's timeless Galaxie 500 songbook, Parquet Courts frontman A. Savage, who released his second solo album Several Songs About Fire via Rough Trade late last year, The Knife co-founder Olof Dreijer, Canadian songwriter Andy Shauf performing solo, and Naarm / Melbourne fusion-jazz dynamos Mildlife, touring their new album Chorus.

The Aotearoa contingent is as expected strong and diverse, including Ladyhawke performing her synth-pop global smash hit 2008 debut album, 2023 Taite Music Prize winner Princess Chelsea and her Dream Warriors band, hip-hop royalty Ladi6, 2013 Taite Music Prize winning songwriter / multi-instrumentalist SJD, and indie-rock veterans Voom. Explore the full bill of acts from around the motu and beyond below — especially don't sleep on the reunion of Las Tetas (!) — and lock in your spot at The Others Way 2024, with even more to be announced in the near future. Brought to you by Banished, nab earlybird tickets before they fly away via the link below and / or instore at Flying Out.
