Rhythm & Alps 2024 First Lineup Announced - Becky Hill (UK), Shapeshifter, ANDY C (UK), Sir Dave Dobbyn + More

It may currently be nippy outside in Aotearoa, but it's already time get your summer party plans in order. The South Island's premier multi-stage New Years Eve extravaganza Rhythm and Alps returns to Wānaka's Cardrona Valley on 30th and 31st December for their fourteenth year. The festival welcomes 2025 with an absolute whopper first lineup of international stars and local legends, with even more to be revealed in the weeks to come.

Headliners amongst the diverse first wave include UK dance-pop / EDM sensation Becky Hill — whose monster hits include 'Lose Control' (with Meduza and Goodboys), 'Crazy What Love Can Do' (with David Guetta and Ella Henderson) and 'Remember' (also with David Guetta) — our own drum & bass kings Shapeshifter celebrating their 25-year anniversary, UK drum & bass DJ / producer ANDY C co-founder of RAM Records, icon of Aotearoa music Sir Dave Dobbyn and beloved kiwi punk-pop legends Elemeno P.

The overseas contingent of special guests includes UK garage / bass / DnB DJ and production hotshot Badger, Australian electronic dance duo Bag Raiders, Wollongong hip hop / funk phenom Big Twisty spinning tunes, Australian-British jungle / grunge ("grungle") singer Charlotte Plank — who hit the UK singles charts last year with 'Dancing Is Healing' by Rudimental and Vibe Chemistry — Bristol-based drum & bass producer Grafix (Hospital Records), UK dance-pop songwriter and recent Moby collaborator Issey Cross, and UK garage DJ / producer Oppidan. From that list alone, local DnB fiends ought to be well sorted. The lineup of Aotearoa acts also includes pop rising star Cassie Henderson, George FM Drive co-hosts Sin & Brook, Ōtautahi surf-rock groovers The Butlers, Ōtepoti hip-hop maverick Wax Mustang, ROVA and X CLUB.
