Sandy Rivera (Kings Of Tomorrow) Auckland Headline Show Announced
Achieving global chart success in 2001 with dance floor smash 'Finally' under the moniker Kings of Tomorrow (later covered by Alicia Keys), US house music figurehead Sandy Rivera will be back in Aotearoa on 4th October, playing a one-off headline event at Tāmaki Makaurau's The Mothership. Showcased on Moodymann's 2016 DJ-Kicks collection (featuring a cut by our own Julien Dyne and Mara TK), the Spanish Harlem-raised artist has amassed a monumental back catalogue from the early '90s onwards, using a variety of aliases alongside K.O.T. including Soul Vision, Mysterious People, D'Menace and his own name. As producer / remixer, Rivera's many collaborations include releases with Jay 'Sinister' Sealee, Julie McKnight, Jose Burgos, HAZE, Robert Owens, Terry Callier, Gisele Jackson, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Everything But The Girl — EBTG vs Soul Vision's 'Tracey In My Room' (2001) is regarded as a career classic. Don't miss Rivera moving the crowd in the central city this autumn, details below...
