Marsha Touring Debut Album 'In Circles' Nationwide
Less than a fortnight ago, “post-punk sweethearts” Marsha sent fans spinning on their heads with the southern group's debut studio album In Circles. The four-piece of Evan Oijordsbakken, Sam Williams, Milan Raxworthy and Felix Mendonça may call Ōtautahi home, but are about to tour Aotearoa in celebration of their nine-track inaugural release, a collection of detailed and noisy songs touched by atmospheric darkness. Marsha have recently played at Twisted Frequency festival and shared stages with acts like Little Fang, This Dog, Bad Llamas, Only You and Stonechild (plus, fellow Cantaburian artist Sam Bambery is an aficionado too). You might be able to expect some older faves from their excellent short player Wideo too, but I am personally looking forward to the spellbinding ‘Iris’ and forward propulsion of ‘Wide Eyed and Dumb’. Don’t sleep on these shows, because Marsha ooze heartfelt emotion and sonic control...

Press Release:
Six years after their formation, Ōtautahi post-punk band, Marsha, are releasing their debut album on the 7th of June 2024. In Circles is a collection of work that has been painstakingly put together since the recording process began in late 2021, leveraging the careful ears of Jack Lanham and Kabyn Walley from Moonbase Record Collective. Marsha’s nine track album is a modern take on post-punk informed by their eclectic range of tastes and influences.
In Circles has three previously released singles, Wide Eyed & Dumb, Iris, and title track, In Circles. The fast-paced nature of these tracks are contrasted with slower and darker tracks such as Sirens and Rear View.
To celebrate In Circles, Marsha are taking the album on a nationwide tour to Christchurch, Dunedin, Wellington, and Auckland.
