Albi & The Wolves Announce 'Long Way Round' Tour
Not ones to do things by halves, Aotearoa's indie-folk talents Albi & The Wolves are taking the Long Way Round, skipping many of our main centres for an off-the-beaten-track winter tour, to be followed by a run of festival appearances across the ditch in Australia. Treating fans to the emotionally uplifting Americana of their 2023 studio album Light After The Dark (plus maxi-sized launch shows), the multi-instrumental core team of Chris Dent (aka Albi), Pascal Rogge and Micheal Young will be joined in Kirikiriroa, Ōakura, and Ōhau by drummer Hannah De Koster (Vox Venus). Wrap your ears around their big-hearted latest record don't miss Albi & The Wolves kicking up a ruckus across the motu at the following dates...
"This has been bubbling on the stove for a while but we've been pretty quiet about it. We have 9 NZ dates, 3 with Hannah De Koster on the drums and then four Aussie festivals. It's been a couple years so please tell your pals... We wanna make these rooms full and cozy!"

Bop along with the big band action of the title track to Albi & The Wolves' new album Light After The Dark...
Press release:
Albi & The Wolves are hitting the road once again, taking their newest album Light After The Dark to towns they love all over the country. A mixture of intimate venues and some bigger spaces the band will return (Mostly) to it’s trio roots. Chris Dent, Pascal Rogge, and Micheal Young have new songs and stories to share, all bound together in a captivating show that’s elevated by their lighting wit.
Harmony, heart, and sizzling electric violin are some of the words that may get you though the door, but their songwriting is what will win you over. Relatable lyrics and humble themes bind a diverse range of compelling tracks together. Love, loss, sobriety, and stories from the road. One they’ve travelled nearly 10 years.
There will be 9 shows from Christchurch to Maungaturoto (Chris’s home town in Northland) and on three stops the band will be joined by Hannah De Koster on drums to step things up a notch for New Plymouth, Hamilton and Ohau, you won’t want to be sitting for those shows.
