Ōtautahi's Moider Mother aka the family band of Hannah Harte, Nick Harte (Shocking Pinks) and Noah McKay have already built up a cult following, extending tendrils even further with the launch of their debut album Miracle Healing Crusade on 12th April. They've followed last year's superb Halloween Brick in a Stocking EP with southern gothic no wave knees-up 'Darksided' — inspired "by the American Wife Swap show" to stick the knife into religious zealots, backed with the killer ESG grooves of 'Emerald Corpse'. Provoking none other than Bruce Russell of The Dead C to gush "Take a pinch of Raincoats, add a tablespoon of early Swans, sauté in the first Stooges album and add half a brick. Put it in a sock.
