Twenty Years Of The Wine Cellar - Full Lineup Announced
Champions of Tāmaki Makaurau's live music community for an incredible two decades, the full lineup has been revealed for the It Seemed A Good Idea At The Time - Twenty Years Of The Wine Cellar festival running from 27th May to 1st June. Subject of intense speculation from interested parties including myself, the main event will be a two stage extravaganza happening at The Wine Cellar and Whammy Backroom (the original couch-festooned Cellar venue space) on the Friday and Saturday, bringing together "a mix of fine artists who over the years have been making amazing music around Tāmaki". The Wine Cellar's twentieth birthday bill is indeed a whopper of local favourites and returning legends, plus venue founder / curator Rohan Evans dangles this enticing carrot: "rumours swirl that the infamous Dad Jokes may come out of retirement?" Capacity is strictly limited so grab a festival pass while you can — set times will be announced closer to the show...
