Sydney via Wollongong punk-metal manglers Totally Unicorn are jumping the ditch this week, cramming headline dates in Tāmaki Makaurau and Pōneke around their appearance at Camp A Low Hum festival in Wainuiomata. Unleashing their grunty riff-powered latest album High Spirits//Low Life to rapt reception in early 2022, the cacophonous Aussie crew will be joined this week at the super city's Whammy Bar by recent Foo Fighters supports Dick Move and Carthage. They'll also be pummelling throngs in the capital next Thursday at Valhalla, joined by Naarm's DIY blackened metal / punk sonic extremists Diploid (playing in Tāmaki the following Sunday at 605 Morningside), Cuck and Dolebludger. Australian noisey punk & metal band Totally Unicorn make their NZ debut appearance this February alongside Melbournian noise/grind act Diploid.
Known for their genre-bending tunes and hilariously empathic live show, the Sydney via Wollongong four-piece are in town as part of the Camp A Low Hum revival. Between sets at the revered festival's double weekender, the band are playing a limited number of shows in the North Island, including a Necropup presented show at Valhalla, Wellington 22nd of February.
